PopTask is a menu bar task manager for macOS that helps you create, organize, and track tasks. The app includes AI-powered features for smart suggestions, task breakdown, voice input, and natural language processing.

2. Free and Pro Plans

Free Plan

PopTask is free to download and use with up to 4 active (non-completed) tasks. All core features are available on the free plan.

PopTask Pro

PopTask Pro removes the task limit and unlocks unlimited tasks and all AI features. Pro is available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Grace Period

Users who upgrade from PopTask v1 to v2 receive a 30-day grace period with full Pro access, allowing time to evaluate the new version before deciding whether to subscribe.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. The renewal price is the same as the original subscription price.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to System Settings, selecting your name, and then selecting Subscriptions on your Mac.

All purchases are processed through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. PopTask does not process payments directly.

4. AI Features

PopTask includes AI-powered features that process task text to provide suggestions, clean titles, generate subtasks, and detect due dates. On macOS 26 or later with Apple Silicon, these features run on your device. On earlier systems, task text is processed by the PopTask cloud service.

AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is and are intended as helpful recommendations. You are responsible for reviewing and accepting or modifying any AI-generated content.

5. Third-Party Integrations

PopTask supports optional integrations with Apple Reminders, Apple Calendar, and Google Calendar. By enabling these integrations, you authorize PopTask to read and write data to those services. Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PopTask in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app. You may not use the app to store or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

7. Intellectual Property

PopTask, including its design, code, icons, and branding, is the intellectual property of the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to the App Store terms.

PopTask is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or availability of the app or its features. AI-generated content may not always be accurate. Use your own judgment when relying on suggestions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use PopTask. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of productivity, or missed deadlines.
