  1. 3.0

    October 2026

Meet Pop, a new Today, and calendars that sync both ways.

    • Meet Pop. Talk your day through and he plans it with you, turns it into tasks and adds them when you say yes. Pop is a separate subscription and comes with everything in Pro.
    • Microsoft Outlook calendar. Connect it and your tasks sync both ways: move or delete an event and the task follows, add an event to your PopTask calendar and it becomes a task.
    • Google Calendar now syncs both ways too. Deleting an event removes the task, and events you add to the PopTask calendar come back as tasks.
    • A new sign in page when you connect Google or Outlook.
    • Fixed: a task with "in the morning" or "in the evening" lost the day you typed. "Dentist tomorrow at 10 in the morning" now lands tomorrow.
    • Changes reach your other devices faster.
    • PopTask now picks up your shorthand after you confirm it twice.

    [ On the Mac ]

    • PopTask can stay on screen. Click it in the Dock and it opens as a window you can move and resize. The Dock icon is on by default, and you can hide it in Settings.
    • Choose what the menu bar icon opens: Pop's orb or the popover you know.
    • Today is grouped the way you plan: overdue tasks under their own heading, your next task on top with Done and Snooze, then the rest of your day in order.
    • Snoozing is quicker. Pick a preset, tomorrow at 5 PM, or just type a time.
    • Completed tasks read like a logbook under your activity grid, grouped by day.

[ On iPhone and iPad ]

    • A redesigned Today. Your next task sits on top with Snooze right there, overdue tasks get their own block, and the rest of your day is grouped into morning, afternoon, evening and tonight.
    • Bigger, easier text across the app, using Apple's standard sizes, and a darker look that matches PopTask on the Mac.
    • Fixed: connecting Google Calendar on iPhone never sent your tasks to it. It does now.
  2. 2.4.2

    August 2026

A launch fix for macOS Sonoma, and tidier punctuation.

    [ On the Mac ]

    • If PopTask would not open at all on macOS Sonoma, this is the fix. It was looking for a system component that only ships on newer macOS.

[ On iPhone and iPad ]

    • Stray separator characters in reminders, the widget and the upgrade screen are now plain spaces or commas.
    • Each language uses its own comma, which matters if you read PopTask in Arabic, Chinese or Japanese.
  3. 2.4.1

    August 2026

    Everything from 2.4, but quicker.

    • Suggestions come up faster while you type. Work that was repeated on every keystroke now happens once.
    • What PopTask learns about you is saved more efficiently in the background, so a burst of new tasks is lighter on your battery.
  4. 2.4

    July 2026

PopTask learns how you actually work.

    • Correct a suggested time once and it remembers for that kind of task. If your gym is an evening thing, "gym at 6" starts meaning 6 PM for you, with weekday and weekend habits kept apart.
    • It learns your words too. Your shorthand and usual typos stop needing fixing, and a name it does not recognise is left exactly as you typed it.
    • Everything it learns travels to your other devices through your own iCloud.
    • Meal, evening and prayer words work in every language PopTask speaks. Fajr, dhuhr, asr, maghrib and isha each get their own time.
    • Suggestions appear noticeably faster while you type.
    • Recurring tasks are safer. Completing one, or undoing that, can no longer affect a different task that shares its name.

[ On iPhone and iPad ]

    • It learns from wherever you add a task, including the Share Sheet and Siri.
  5. 2.3.2

    July 2026

PopTask tells you what actually happened.

    • Restore Purchases and the AI steps button now say what happened instead of going quiet, and the spinner runs as long as the work really takes.
    • A permission you turn down explains itself and takes you to Settings in one tap.
    • The done grid lights the day you finished a task, not the day the app found out.
    • Reduce Motion is respected throughout, and nothing clips at larger text sizes.

    [ On the Mac ]

    • Google Calendar sign in tells you when something goes wrong.

[ On iPhone and iPad ]

    • The widget no longer says "all caught up" when it cannot read your tasks.
    • VoiceOver can complete and delete tasks, and every button has a real name.
  6. 2.3.1

    July 2026

Smart Add handles messier input, and stops inventing times.

    • When you don't give a time, PopTask no longer makes one up. A task with just a day stays a day, with a one tap Add time for when you want it.
    • Durations, ranges, quantities and dozens of shorthand patterns are figured out correctly.
    • More reliable reminders and a clearer daily summary. Recurring reminders keep reminding you day after day.
    • A cleaner Smart Suggestion card.

    [ On the Mac ]

    • Sub-tasks, per-task reminders and two way Apple Calendar arrive on the Mac.
    • A new menu bar icon.

[ On iPhone and iPad ]

    • The Live Activity shows a calm Due instead of a ticking overdue clock.
    • A redesigned search.
  7. 2.3

    July 2026

    iPhone and iPad only

Sub-tasks, custom reminders and Lists on iPhone.

    • Lists on iPhone and iPad. Organise tasks into lists and switch between them with a tap.
    • Sub-tasks. Break any task into your own steps and check them off one by one. AI suggestions now add to your list instead of replacing it.
    • Per-task reminders. Set custom reminders on any task, or several at once.
    • Two way Apple Calendar. Change an event's time or title in Calendar and the task updates.
  8. 2.2.2

    June 2026

See your day at a glance, and dates that land right.

    • Type a full date like "2026/06/22 16:00" and it sets exactly that, and a 24-hour time next to words like "gym" or "dinner" no longer jumps to the morning.
    • "Every 3 days" or "every other week" now repeat on the right schedule.
    • Ask Siri for your tasks, or your last task, hands free.

    [ On the Mac ]

    • The menu bar can show a combined today and overdue count.

[ On iPhone and iPad ]

    • A badge on the app icon shows how many tasks need you. Pick what it counts in Settings: today, overdue, or both.
  9. 2.2.1

    June 2026

    Mac only

A combined count in the menu bar, and exact dates.

    • The menu bar can show a combined today and overdue count.
    • Type a full date like "2026/06/22 16:00" and it sets exactly that.
  10. 2.2

    June 2026

Italian, and smarter in every language.

    • PopTask speaks Italian. That makes 9 languages.
    • Type or dictate a task in any language and the task and its suggestions stay in the language you used.
    • Dictation follows your app language, so it hears you right.
    • It's clearer when something is a system setting, like notifications off or iCloud signed out, and not PopTask.
  11. 2.1.2

    June 2026

    Sync is now fast.

    • Make a change on one device and it shows up on your iPhone, iPad and Mac in seconds.
    • Still synced privately through your own iCloud.
  12. 2.1.1

    June 2026

    iCloud sync, fixed.

    • Your tasks sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac in near real time. No more quitting and reopening to see a change from another device.
  13. 2.1

    June 2026

PopTask comes to iPhone and iPad.

    • iCloud sync, on by default, through your own private iCloud.
    • Names stay intact, and multi-day routines like "gym mon wed fri 6am" become one repeating task.
    • Traditional Chinese joins the app.
    • Completing a task checks off its reminder instead of deleting it.

    [ On the Mac ]

    • A refreshed menu bar design, a clearer light mode and a redesigned task editor.

[ On iPhone and iPad ]

    • Type or speak messy input like "gym mon wed fri 6am" and PopTask figures out the title, date, time and repeat.
    • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and your next task in the Dynamic Island.
    • Add tasks from Control Center, the Share Sheet or Siri.
    • Syncs with Apple Reminders, Apple Calendar and Google Calendar.
  14. 2.0.3

    April 2026

    Mac only

Dates anywhere in what you type.

    • Explicit dates anywhere in your input: "7th may", "march 15 at 3pm", "flight 9th feb 14:30". Times like noon, midnight and EOD stay on the date you gave.
    • "Every 1st of month" and "every 15th" pick the next correct day.
    • Offsets like "send agenda 16 days before 1st June" work.
    • Fixed a crash on macOS 26 when moving to the next month in the date picker.
    • Google Calendar sync stops when you turn it off, and reconnects without duplicates when you turn it back on.
    • Each calendar has its own card in Settings, with tools to clean up duplicates or remove all PopTask events.
  15. 2.0.2

    • Permissions now stick after restarting your Mac.
    • Stability and polish.
